See-Saw Pre-school Management Committee is made up of parent volunteers from our pre-school and toddler group parents. The committee is responsible for current and future planning, for the finances of the pre-school and ensuring the pre-school operates within all legal requirements.
The committee also organises fund raising events which allow the pre-school to further enhance its resources.
The committee is elected at our AGM which is held in September each year. All parents and interested people are welcome to attend the AGM and put themselves forward for election on to the committee. A chairperson, treasurer and secretary are elected from amongst committee members.
Committee members give their time voluntarily and this is much appreciated by all, including other parents and the staff. Without a committee, the pre-school could not operate!
For some years, schools have been given extra funding for some children who meet the free school meal criteria; this money is used to support children’s individual learning. Some children in early years groups may also get this.
